Windows Mobile 6 doesn't go far

The latest version of Windows Mobile is an improvement over version 5, but doesn't carry the major user interface or functional core changes that might have been expected in an X.0 revision. Instead, it brings incremental improvements in many aspects, new names for the different versions, and the ability for SmartPhone (now Mobile Standard) users to view and edit Microsoft Office documents on their portable devices. These are all good, if occasionally confusing, steps, but they leave opportunities for considerable improvement in upgrades yet to come.
