DataViz, the company that came to fame with its application suite that allowed Palm OS users to work with Microsoft Office--and often doing it better than Microsoft--wants to release a version of their flagship Documents To Go product for the iPhone. In an email, DataViz spokeswoman Jenn Figueroa wrote that "Yes, we are absolutely interested and currently investigating." CEO Dick Fontana is also optimistic about the opportunities for DataViz, noting in the DataViz blog that, "We were one of the first developers for the Macintosh in 1984 and they [Apple] have always proven to be good business partners. ...We have every reason to believe that the path will be open for us." Documents To Go currently works on Windows Mobile and both the Symbian UIQ and Symbian Series 80. A version for the BlackBerry also currently is in active development.
